One postdoctoral position is available for qualified candidates at the Millennium Nucleus of Ion Channels-Associated Diseases (MiNICAD). We are loocking for highly motivated young researchers interested in thermotransduction and pain. We study the role of several thermo-TRP channels in the exicitability of cold thermoreceptors and nociceptors under physiological and pathophysiological conditions by using calcium imaging and patch-clamping, in combination with molecular biology tools. This position requires training in patch-clamp technique.
Applicants should submit curriculum vitae, Doctoral degree certificate, one page motivation letter and two reference letters.
Applications should be submitted to MiNICAD Director, Oscar Cerda (oscarcerda@uchile.cl), before April 15, 2018.
State: Closed
Two predoctoral positions are available for qualified candidates at the Millennium Nucleus of Ion Channels-Associated Diseases (MiNICAD), to perform their doctoral thesis in the area of Ion Channels regulation with emphasis in tissue-specific TRP channels regulation and TRP channels dysfunction in diseases and/or the identification of novel TRP channels-associated proteins. The students will be co-directed by two MiNICAD Pls and have access to the development of techniques such as proteomics, imaging, molecular modeling, electrophysiology and animal models of diseases.
Applicants should submit Curriculum Vitae , the score obtained in the latest CONICYT Fellowship Application , two reference letters and one page motivation letter, specifying the area of interest.
Applications should be submitted to MiNICAD Director, Oscar Cerda (oscarcerda@uchile.cl), before April 15, 2018.
